Mayfair Foundation Center for Disabled Children

The reality of our world today is that it can be a very unhappy and unfriendly place for children with serious disabilities. More insidious can be the gradual breakdown of their self-esteem as they encounter people that don't understand their challenges and as they find themselves unable to participate in normal, childhood activities. The Mayfair Foundation center consists of a recreation and educational facility for severely disabled children to visit where they can just be themselves: kids. The facility, currently under construction in Southern California), consists of a specialized lodge equipped with necessary special needs features (i.e. medical, mobility, etc.), an auditorium, a well-equipped clinic, and lots of beautiful ranch land and ocean access. It also features a highly-capable machine shop and trained personnel to manufacture specialized equipment that will allow a severely disabled child to safely ride a horse, steer a boat or participate in other fun activities they've always dreamed of but may not have been feasible due to their disabilities.
